Science Experiment: Easter Bouncing Eggs
Have you ever seen a bouncing egg? Enjoy this wonderful Science Experiment with Ms. Mikaela! Elementary students can talk in depth about the chemical properties of eggs and the chemical reaction its proteins undergo when exposed to vinegar.
What you‘ll need: eggs, food coloring, wide mouth bowl / glass, vinegar, warm water
Step1: In a wide mouth bowl orglass, add an egg, vinegar, andfood coloring (optional)
Step 2: After 24hrs, remove eggand empty the liquid. Refill thebowl/glass with vinegar and foodcoloring. Add the egg to the liquidagain.
Step 3: Wait 2-3 days, the egg willexpand and the shell will fall off.
Step 4: Remove the egg and rinsewith warm water.
Step 5: Start bouncing!
